MMD Architecture is an award-winning, woman-owned architecture firm located in Austin, TX. With 15 years of experience in the design industry, their team of skilled designers has worked on various projects, ranging from large-scale master planning to residential renovations, providing exceptional service to the local community. The firm has been growing steadily over the years, and they reached out to us for a rebrand to better reflect their long-term goals. We initiated the rebranding project by emphasizing MMD's key design principles, including sustainability, efficiency, transformation, and beauty. Furthermore, with the firm's strong female leadership, the new brand identity has been crafted to embody strength and collaboration, accentuating the company's core values.
In architecture design, shapes and patterns play a significant role in the overall aesthetic. With that in mind, we strategically designed the MMD Architecture logo mark to represent common architectural shapes, and together, they also hint the letter form of MMD. For the color palette, we opted for a rich forest green as the primary color to reflect MMD's commitment to sustainability and the environment. To add a touch of vibrancy, we selected two accent colors from their most iconic designs: lime green to symbolize new growth and rejuvenation, and mahogany to represent soil and carpentry. For this special brand package, we went a step further to create a custom designed pattern based on the logo mark, which can be utilized as a powerful visual element on merchandise and interior design. The final result is a cohesive and striking brand identity package that effectively captures MMD's essence.
